The genus Rhipidolestes ( 23 species)

Diagnosis:
Placed in Megapodagrionidae or with Pseudolestes in Pseudolestidae. Males distinguished by large dorsal tubercle on segment 9 (sometimes bifid). This character is not found on any other Zygoptera. Wing venation: 2(3) antenodal cross veins, R4 closer to arculus than to nodus, fields between IR2/R3, between R3/IR3 and between IR3/R4 containing 3 or more rows of cells at distal end (Kalkman & Wilson 2010).

Calilestes Fraser 1926 and Lestomima May 1933 were synonymised with Rhipidolestes by Kalkman & Wilson 2010
