Diagnosis:
Moderate-sized, considerably larger than any known Ischnura; petiole of wing not extending as far as ac, which lies midway between the two antenodal nervures; arc arising opposite distal antenodal; forewing with apex markedly falcate, hindwing normal; pterostigma of forewing leaving the costa and curving into the wing, shaped as an elongate teardrop, that of hindwing normal; quadrilateral acute, similar in fore- and hindwings; 10th segment terminating with bifid tubercle; anal appendages highly specialised, superior chelate, inferior tapering.
